Health and Safety

The mobile farm experience operates a strict hygiene policy and this is of paramount importance on all of our visits.  We always ask that all visitors wash their hands following our sessions and also provide hand wash.

People can become infected through a number of routes including the consumption of contaminated foods, direct contact with animals, contact with animal faeces e.g. camping on agricultural land and person-to-person spread both in families and institutions.

Whilst there is a hazard from a farm visit this risk can be easily controlled by good hygiene measures.  Please see here for further information from Health and safety Executive.

The great thing about a visit from the mobile farm experience is that we provide a controlled environment with hand washing straight after the session rather than an Open Farm  environment when it is harder to control the washing of each pupils hands.
