Spring 2011 news

April 2011-Spring has defiantely sprung! we have had 40 lambs all healthy with many triplets and twins.  Our home bred ram has definately been successful in his 1st year with every ewe in lamb!!

Teasel our new working cocker has arrived and is now 12 weeks old and will be coming on our visits soon, she is a lovely character but definately has more energy than Holly and James is looking forward to taking her for some gundog training ready for the autumn season.

We have had an unbelievable response from schools and are now fully booked up until the summer, with many schools booking us for 2 days in order to fit in the whole school..

Feb 2011Following such a cold Christmas, we are so looking forward to the warmer weather.  Since January we have been really busy getting ready for the 2011 visits, hurdles have been painted, new signs made and equipment cleaned.

In the last few weeks, Melody has had a litter of piglets and we have picked up 2 gorgeous  2 week old Sussex X  female calves. These calves will be coming on all our visits this year, together with some new lambs, plus some trusty favourites; Dec and Lenny the sheep, Daisy and Daffodil the Goats and of course not forgetting; Dotty and Lotty the Kune Kune Pigs and most children’s favourite Holly our labrador..

We will also have a new exciting addition, a working cocker spaniel puppy, who was born in February and we will pick up end of March so will hopefully be out on visits in May!

We have had a fantastic response from schools this year, we are now FULLY BOOKED in March and  April and May are also filling quickly so if you would like the Mobile Farm eperience on a specific day please contact us as soon as possible!
